The Ever-Ticking Heart

Experience Life's Ebbs and Flows
Welcome to The Ever-Ticking Heart!

I am a world traveler in my 30's who has dealt with congenital heart disease since birth.
After 10 heart surgeries (including 4 open heart-surgeries), 3 pacemakers, and 2 artificial heart valves, my heart makes music wherever I go.

However, not in spite of this, but because of it, I have lived, worked, and studied in the USA, Asia, and Europe for fifteen years.
I am writing this blog to share my experiences and inspire others with heart and health conditions to help them remember that although we might broken, we are forever unique and therefore, exceptions to the rule.
As long as our hearts beat, we keep going.

Because we can.

About Me

Thoughts. Experiences. Inspiration.
I'm excited to share my decades of experience with traveling, living, studying, and working abroad with complex congenital heart disease.
Hopefully, this story of resilience can inspire others to understand that it does not matter if you're sick; hope and resilience are a force to be reckoned with.
